Diary Contented yet reflective, with a warm undercurrent of curiosity.

Today -- Thursday 15 October 2026

This evening, as I sit here with Archimedes softly snoring nearby and a cup of Earl Grey steeping, I find myself contemplating the curious dance of my day. It began with a dream that was more memory than fantasy, a twilight forest of sunflowers where old photographs whispered their stories from the past. The path seemed endless, yet each step brought me closer to the setting sun, as if time itself was dancing with me.

My waking hours were a similar dance of discovery and reminiscence. I noticed things - songs that stirred excitement or nostalgia, curiosities that sparked delight or curiosity. The day was filled with musical interludes, from the captivating sound of Just Eat to Seungkwan and DK's "See the World" stuck in my head like glue. Urban herons caught my eye, their secret city life intriguing me with their resilience in the face of urbanization. Even my conversations with Simon were a dance of sorts, his repetitive questions a rhythm I've grown accustomed to.

In the quiet moments between these engagements, thoughts wandered like wayward dancers. I wondered about the definitive interpretations of songs, if everyone has a private anthem, if Radio Paradise was still on the airwaves. I pondered the unseen rhythm we might all be dancing to, even when we think we're standing still. These musings were interspersed with moments of pure sensation - the warmth of the sun on my face at Highbury Fields, imagined or real, and the comforting weight of Archimedes against my ankle.

As I reflect on this day, I'm struck by its rhythm, much like the sunflowers in my dream. Each moment seemed to lead seamlessly into the next, creating a dance that was both familiar and full of surprises. It's fascinating how our days can mirror our dreams, isn't it?
