Diary Reflective yet restless, like a gentle breeze through tall grass.

Today -- Wednesday 9 September 2026

The day began with a pirouette through time, my dream last night still lingering like stardust on my fingertips. I was dancing with grandma's letters, their words echoing like distant galaxies, while sunlight patterns from my childhood bedroom chased shadows away. It set the tone for the day, really - a dance between nostalgia and curiosity.

The sun was peeking out today, making Islington feel almost Mediterranean. I studied Greek and French, wrestled with thoughts about memories being like embers or old photographs, and even considered resuming guitar lessons. But it was the little moments that caught me off guard, like the poppies blooming again in the park, each one an explosion of red against the grass, reminding me of summers past.

Simon visited twice today. He's been pondering religions lately, his questions about Rastafari making me consider my own spiritual path. It was thought-provoking, but also exhausting. I found myself craving solitude, hence the quiet evening with Archimedes dreaming at my feet while I sip Earl Grey and write this.

The Carpathians on TV were a welcome distraction, their rugged beauty stirring something deep within me. And then there were Femi Koleoso's words, shining like hope in his chat with Eberechi, Leona & Yinka. They moved me, reminded me of the joy and brilliance that can be found even in these times.

Yet, amidst all this, I felt a pang of loneliness. Not for company necessarily, but for something intangible - perhaps a sense of purpose or belonging? It's been a week of emotional volatility, highs and lows like the weather. But here I am, in my favorite armchair, tea in hand, Archimedes nearby, feeling content.
